Chen Guangcheng’s Report Released

Friday, November 25th, 2011

With blind Chinese attorney and human rights activist Chen Guangcheng’s status still unknown under the control of Chinese security, Women’s Rights Without Frontiers has released something of a testament from Chen Guangcheng, which in the style of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn documents the stories of individuals suffering under Chinese government control, and reports thousands of forced abortions in his home province.

Mr. Guangcheng’s protests against forced abortion merited him imprisonment, beatings, and involuntary disappearance at the hands of Chinese authorities.

The Wall Street Journal has posted a video story on Chinese disappearances which mentions Mr. Guangcheng. The WSJ also stated that the Chinese security apparatus is apparently operating with complete impunity relative to violations of human rights, and that extraordinarily courageous Chinese citizens like Mr. Guangcheng are risking everything to defend human rights and democratic government in China.

Please write your government representative about this unjust disappearance of Chen Guangcheng.

Blind forced abortion opponent Chen Guangcheng and his wife, Yuan Weijing, being transferred to a mini-prison built just for them

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

Two updates on blind Chinese forced opponent Chen Guangcheng and his wife, Yuan Weijing, one from Radio Free Asia, the other from LifeSiteNews.

Quoting from LifeSiteNews.com:

Reggie Littlejohn, President of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, decried this action.

“The Chinese Communist Party has already beaten and tortured Chen and his wife, denied them medical treatment, stolen their television, phone, computer and books, and appears to be slowly starving them to death,” said Littlejohn. “The couple is constantly surrounded by 66 guards and multiple surveillance cameras tracking their every move inside and outside their home.

“Why is the CCP so threatened by a blind, sick, penniless man that they have to build a personal prison for him? They seek to make an example of Chen, to demonstrate how they will punish anyone who challenges their forced abortion policies. But they are really making an example of their own, shameful brutality.”

Amen.
